Delete your account

Permanently delete your Hulp account and all associated personal data. This page is publicly accessible without signing in.

Two ways to delete your account

Option 1 From inside the Hulp app — recommended

Open the Hulp app and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account, then confirm. This works the same way on iOS and Android. Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately and you will be signed out.

Option 2 By email — if you cannot access the app

Send an email to privacy@hulp.in with:

Subject: Delete my Hulp account
Body: Your registered phone number (with country code) and a short reason if you wish to share one.

We will verify your identity (typically by sending a confirmation OTP to your registered phone) and confirm deletion within the timeframes described below.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following are permanently removed from our systems:

Your profile (name, phone number, email address, residential address).
All chat history with your Personal Assistant — text messages, photos, voice messages, and task descriptions.
Family and household contact information you provided.
Device tokens and push notification preferences.
Any other personal data tied to your account.

What is retained, and why

A small amount of information may be retained for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention reasons, as permitted under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Specifically:

Invoice and payment records may be retained for up to 8 years to meet Indian tax and accounting obligations. These records contain only the minimum identifying information required by law.
Anonymised service logs may be retained for security and abuse-prevention purposes; these contain no personal identifiers tied to you.

All retained information is stored securely and is never used for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than the legal one stated above.

Before you proceed — please note:

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore a deleted account.
If you have an active subscription, please contact privacy@hulp.in first to discuss cancellation and any applicable refund. Deletion alone does not automatically refund. See our Refund Policy.
Pending tasks assigned to your PA at the time of deletion will be cancelled.
If you only want to delete a specific subset of data without closing your account, use Request data deletion instead.
